Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Bulk Text Cleaner, formats, and privacy guarantees.

What order are text cleaning transformations executed in?

UtilityHub runs a deterministic 10-stage pipeline: (1) Normalize line endings internally, (2) Trim document leading/trailing blank lines, (3) Trim lines and collapse intra-line spaces/tabs, (4) Apply literal find-and-replace, (5) Remove lines matching specific text, (6) Deduplicate lines, (7) Remove or collapse blank lines, (8) Sort lines, (9) Convert text case, and (10) Apply chosen output line ending (LF/CRLF).

Does duplicate line removal modify retained lines?

No. Trimming or case-folding during duplicate removal is applied strictly to temporary comparison keys. The retained lines keep their original formatting unless you separately enable whitespace trimming or case conversion.

Is my text data private and secure?

100% private. All text processing occurs locally within your web browser using Web Workers and JavaScript. Your text is never transmitted across the network, stored on servers, or tracked.

Can I perform repeated transformations with different settings?

Yes. Your original text input is never mutated. You can change any setting—such as toggling sorting, case conversion, or blank line removal—and click "Clean Text" again to immediately recompute the output from the pristine original.

What line endings are supported in the output?

You can choose between Unix/macOS/Web standard LF (\n) and Windows standard CRLF (\r\n). You can also toggle an optional final trailing newline.
